Ozlem
Hi, I’m Ozlem, a bioinformatician in Bonn, Germany, working at the intersection of biology and data science. My work focuses on applying computational approaches to biological and biomedical problems, particularly through AI/ML, large language models (LLMs), knowledge graphs, statistics, and data analysis. I originally started my scientific journey in the wet lab, running experiments and exploring biological questions through hands-on laboratory work. While I enjoyed the experimental side of biology, I gradually became more interested in the data generated from these experiments and the stories hidden within it. Over time, this curiosity led me to shift my focus from pipettes and bench work toward computational methods and data-driven research. Today, I work on transforming complex biological problems into data science challenges. My interests include integrating biological data with machine learning, building knowledge graphs for biomedical discovery, and exploring how AI and large language models can support research and precision medicine.
